Timeline
Infrastructure with a future
A dynamic location with synergy potential
A location that offers everything that pioneering innovations need: The new biotechnology and life science location is being built directly at the city entrance to the state capital of Mainz. In the initial building LAB 1, 2,500 m² have already been handed over to the users TRON gGmbH, which is researching new cancer therapies, LigniLabs GmbH, developer of innovative bio-based micro- and nano-encapsulations, and Lifecare AS, specializing in implantable microsensors for medical diagnostics.
In the immediate vicinity of the university and college, the InnovationLabz bring together an extensive network of companies and research institutes from the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life science, research and technology. Those who settle in this dynamic environment benefit from the pulling power of a strong shared location.
One of our references in the immediate neighborhood: Novo Nordisk’s new German headquarters

A grown location
Thanks to its outstanding visibility and connectivity, the entrance to Mainz has already developed into a thriving business location over the past three decades.
Well-known companies and institutions have settled here, which brings with it a variety of synergy opportunities. Canteens and daycare centers open to the public are among the location’s advantages. An overall package that has already convinced many players. The Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk will also move into its new German headquarters at the Mainz city entrance in 2023. The building we developed has attracted attention with its sustainable building concept and outstanding design.
- Optimal visibility: the portal to the state capital
- Perfect accessibility from the entire Rhine-Main area
- University research campus in the immediate vicinity
- Canteens and daycare centers nearby

Sustainability
Sustainable building concept with innovative technology
We place particular emphasis on sustainability, as is already evident in the building concept for Lab 1: The energy supply will be environmentally friendly, using geothermal energy and a low-temperature surface heating system with passive cooling, which exceeds the legal requirements for energy efficiency and at the same time creates the basis for low operating costs.
All buildings feature an innovative wood hybrid facade
with an integrated photovoltaic system.
