The Mainz SPD visits the LAB1 construction site

What distinguishes laboratory buildings from other buildings in terms of construction and how they can be designed in an ecologically sustainable way – this was the topic of the tour with representatives of the Mainz SPD on the construction site for the new laboratory and office building LAB 1. Other decisive factors that are of great importance for the success of the new Mainz biotechnology site were also discussed. In addition to the dynamism at the new biotech campus, the Mainz site also needs to be vigorously developed in terms of infrastructure – for example with a view to building new residential quarters, daycare centers and an international school. A special feature of the Innovationlabz is that the regional investors at the Mainz site are also developing housing projects in order to quickly provide additional living space in the growing state capital.
