InnovationLabz – A location in a prime location
Our “InnovationLabz” project, together with the already established commercial location of Kisselberg, forms the portal to the state capital of Mainz. The new Mainz biotechnology location is located in a prominent position along Saarstrasse with excellent infrastructure. A representative location for biotechnology, life science, pharmaceuticals and technology with optimal visibility is being created here.
480 / 5.000 Well-known research institutes and companies, including those with a biotechnology focus, are already active in the area surrounding the site. The site has been expanding in the immediate vicinity for two decades. The Johannes Gutenberg University and the Mainz University of Applied Sciences are in the immediate vicinity. In addition, there is the proximity to the university hospital and to companies such as Novo Nordisk, which have their headquarters in the nearby area. This creates synergies for research and innovation!
Another advantage of the location is the outstanding accessibility and connection to the entire Rhine-Main-Neckar region. The main train station is just a few minutes away, the motorway connections are in the immediate vicinity and the airport can be reached in under 30 minutes. The extensive public transport network also offers optimal connections within Mainz.
Our “InnovationLabz” project is currently being built in the middle of this promising location. The first building, LAB 1, is under construction and offers state-of-the-art, sustainably designed laboratory and office space for rent. The next building, “LAB 2”, already has a building permit and the planning is currently being finalized. The demand for locations in Mainz is noticeable! For example, the companies LifeCare and LigniLabs will move into their premises at the end of 2024.
