biomindz Meet-Up at Novo Nordisk<\/a><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This week we were guests at the biomindz Meet Up. This time in a very special location for us: namely in the new headquarters building of the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk in Mainz. A sustainable and modern working environment on the growing Mainz biotech campus, which we developed and implemented together with the Mainzer Aufbaugesellschaft. We were therefore very pleased to be able to show the project participants through the building as part of the Meet Up, alongside the architects and of course the employees of Novo Nordisk. Because this property offers numerous sustainable and innovative aspects that are worth showing. What distinguishes laboratory buildings from other buildings in terms of construction and how they can be designed in an ecologically sustainable way - this was the topic of the tour with representatives of the Mainz SPD on the construction site for the new laboratory and office building LAB 1. Green Party Federal Chairwoman praises Mainz's commitment to the biotechnology industry and sustainable economic development\n\nThe new Mainz biotech campus is sending out a groundbreaking signal for Mainz and the region. At the invitation of the Mainz district association of ALLIANCE 90\/THE GREENS, the federal chairwoman of ALLIANCE 90\/THE GREENS, Ricarda Lang, visited the first building on the site, LAB 1, and one of its first tenants, the start-up LigniLabs - and was impressed by the dynamism and spirit of optimism that can be felt among all those involved. \n\nThe developer of LAB 1, which will be ready for occupancy at the end of 2024, is Innovationspark Mainz GmbH & Co. KG, consisting of J. Molitor Immobilien GmbH, G.L. Kayser Immobilien GmbH and IGM Immobilien Gesellschaft Mainz mbH. One of the first tenants in the new building is the start-up LigniLabs, which has been supported by the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovations (SPIN-D) since April 2024 and is committed to \"saving wine using bio-based microcapsules made from the wood component lignin\" - this is how Justin Grabow from LigniLabs succinctly formulates the idea. The young team explained its product to representatives of the GREENS, which included G\u00fcnter Beck, the members of the Bundestag Misbah Khan and Tabea R\u00f6\u00dfner, the member of the state parliament Daniel K\u00f6bler and the member of the European Parliament Jutta Paulus, as well as the chairmen of the Mainz GREENS, Christin Sauer and Jonas K\u00f6nig. \n\nFounded from the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, the scientists are developing the plant protection product \"ESCApe\", which is intended to combat the grapevine disease \"ESCA\", which was previously considered incurable. \"Mainz is a perfect location for us,\" says Justin Grabow. Not only because Mainz is known for wine and vaccines - and is therefore predestined for the development of a vaccine for grapevines - but also because the new company headquarters is close to research facilities at the university and at Kisselberg. One year after the groundbreaking ceremony, the opening building for the new biotech site at the entrance to Mainz has clearly taken shape. Innovationspark Mainz GmbH & Co. KG, a merger of regional investors J. Molitor Immobilien GmbH, G.L. The building permit for LAB 2, our next laboratory building on the new Mainz biotech site, has been issued! This marks the beginning of the next phase of this pioneering project. While archaeologists will be examining the site for prehistoric relics in the coming months, we will begin planning the work for LAB 2.
